Modesto Law Firms Have 84 Average Reviews. Their Websites Have 5 Pages.
Modesto has good law firms. 84 average Google reviews per firm, 4.5 stars. Clients trust these practices.
The websites don't reflect that. I scanned 36 firms in the Modesto and Stanislaus County area. 35 had websites. Most of them are thin.
The scan
| What I checked | Result |
|---|---|
| Firms scanned | 36 |
| No website at all | 3% (1 firm) |
| No Google Maps embed | 63% (22/35) |
| Missing NAP on site | 17% (6/35) |
| No structured data (Schema) | 40% (14/35) |
| No blog or resources | 51% (18/35) |
| 5 or fewer pages | 37% (13/35) |
| No contact form | 40% (14/35) |
| No click-to-call link | 20% (7/35) |
| Avg Google rating | 4.5★ |

84 reviews, nowhere to put them
40% of Modesto firms have no Schema markup. That's the code that makes Google surface your star ratings, practice areas, and contact info directly in search results. Without it, those 84 reviews stay on your Google Business Profile. They never appear alongside your website in search.
40% also have no contact form. Someone researching attorneys at 10 PM isn't going to call. If the only option is a phone number that goes to voicemail, the lead goes to whoever has a form.
The thin-site problem
37% of sites have five pages or fewer. No practice area pages. No attorney bios with real detail. Someone types "family law attorney modesto" and these sites have nothing that matches.
51% have no blog or resources section. Legal sites face Google's YMYL scrutiny, which means published expertise isn't optional. Half the market has none.
63% have no maps embed. Better than Stockton's 79%, but still two-thirds of firms missing one of the simplest local signals Google checks.
The gap
Modesto's legal market has an unusual combination: strong trust signals and weak web presence. The hard part is done. Clients already trust these firms. The remaining gap is technical: practice area pages, Schema that surfaces reviews, published content, local signals. The firms that close it get the search traffic. Everyone else keeps relying on referrals and hoping.
Methodology
I searched "attorney in modesto" and scanned the top 36 Google Business Profile results. For each firm with a website (35 of 36), I checked for: Google Maps embed, NAP presence, Schema markup, blog/resources section, and total page count. Structured data verified via Google's Rich Results Test. Scan conducted March 2026.
